Professor Marcos Barros  is the head instructor at Gracie Barra  Springfield. He
was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and trained under Master Carlos Gracie Jr, and
Professor Marcio Feitosa.  With more than ten years of experience teaching and
training in Brazillian Jiu-jitsu , he is dedicated to his students and  the future of
Gracie Barra.  With a great amount of success in the world of Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu
including titles of Worlds, Pan-American and Brazilian Nationals Championships,
he simply  measures success through his students accomplishments.  As a
hands on instructor he has accompanied them to competitions, helped them start
their own academies, taught seminars and stood in their corners at UFC Fights .
He believes  kids are the real future of Gracie Barra and offers them the
opportunity to learn  technique, discipline and how to be a member of a team.
On more than one occasion students have been quoted saying , " Gracie Barra
Springfield is like a second home to me!"
Josh Nordin teaches Muay Thai to all those enrolled at Gracie Barra.  He
enjoys teaching  those new to the sport as well as those ready to
compete.  He has trained in Thailand and across the mid-west. His
students enjoy the light atmosphere but quite tough workouts during the
basic and advance classes.
Paul Taylor  teaches Boxing/Muay Thai to those enrolled at Gracie Barra.
He began studying several areas of martial  arts in 1991.   As  a
competitor and instructor he enjoys coaching the students that are
preparing to step into the ring or simply into a class.  All the students at
Gracie Barra Springfield feel very welcomed by him, either on the matt as
a teacher or in class sparring during Jiu-Jitsu.
